Noise Secures $5.5 Million Seed Funding to Revolutionize Brand-Creator Connections

In a significant move to democratize the influencer marketing landscape, the marketing platform Noise has successfully closed a $5.5 million seed funding round, bringing its total raised capital to $7.2 million. This latest investment, spearheaded by prominent venture capital firms Capital Midwest, M25, and Grishin Robotics, with participation from Capitalize VC and notable operators from companies like DoorDash, signals strong confidence in Noise’s innovative approach to connecting brands with content creators. The platform’s core mission is to offer a dramatically more cost-effective alternative to traditional influencer collaborations and standard advertising campaigns by leveraging a vast network of everyday individuals as content creators.

Noise is fundamentally reshaping how brands engage with consumers by tapping into the burgeoning creator economy, a market where aspirations to become an influencer are notably high. Recent data indicates that a substantial 57% of young people, and over 40% of U.S. adults, express a desire to enter this field. Noise directly addresses this trend by providing a user-friendly mobile application that opens the door to content creation for virtually anyone, irrespective of their existing follower count. The platform functions by presenting its community of creators with campaign briefs from brands. Creators can then choose to participate, producing content on their preferred social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. A key differentiator of Noise’s model is its payment structure; creators are compensated based on the views their content generates, a departure from the often-fixed fees associated with traditional influencer marketing.

For brands, Noise streamlines the entire content creation process. Companies can easily sign up, submit their content brief requests, and allocate their budgets. Noise then handles the intricate operational aspects, including sourcing creators, managing individual client relationships, and processing payments. This allows brands to scale their marketing efforts exponentially, reaching thousands of content creators simultaneously without the typical administrative burdens. This comprehensive service positions Noise alongside other burgeoning companies in the content creator infrastructure space, such as Billo and JoinBrands, which are also working to empower creators and simplify brand collaborations.

The genesis of Noise can be traced back to the entrepreneurial journey of its founders, Diego Kafie, Stu Feldt, and Nic Weber. Prior to launching Noise in 2025, the trio spent two years developing a mobile game app called Playbite. Their experiences scaling Playbite provided invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities within digital marketing, particularly in reaching and engaging target audiences cost-effectively. This firsthand understanding of the limitations of traditional marketing playbooks for startups fueled the development of Noise, which has rapidly grown to boast a community of 1.5 million creators on its platform.

Diego Kafie, who serves as CEO of Noise, highlighted the significant earning potential for creators on the platform, noting that top performers are achieving six-figure annual incomes. The platform operates on a commission-based model, taking a percentage fee from the payments brands make to creators once the content has garnered views. "Our top brands work with several thousand creators on autopilot," Kafie stated, emphasizing the platform’s ability to facilitate large-scale, automated campaigns. Currently, a significant portion of Noise’s clientele comprises mobile app companies and startups with limited marketing budgets that are keen to explore influencer marketing strategies. However, the long-term vision is to cater to businesses of all sizes.

Kafie elaborated on the appeal of Noise for brands, particularly those focused on reaching a broad spectrum of potential customers. "They are the most interested in reaching a really wide range of potential customers, making them the prime users for something like Noise, where they can easily recruit a small army of people to become their biggest users and advocates," he explained. This strategy provides brands with "unprecedented level of content diversity and reach at a fraction of the cost of other traditional marketing playbooks."

The inspiration for Noise emerged directly from the founders’ struggles to effectively market Playbite. "We tried a bunch of different creative marketing strategies," Kafie recalled. One such strategy involved recruiting and training their own gamers to create social content that promoted the app. This initiative started small, with an initial group of five to ten individuals, and gradually expanded to include a hundred participants. "Before we knew it, our installs were skyrocketing as this small army of people went to places like TikTok and posted engaging content daily about mobile games and our app specifically," Kafie said. The crucial takeaway from this experiment was that this high-impact marketing was achieved "at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing playbooks." This was largely due to their ability to cultivate content creation skills in individuals who were not established influencers. "Had we gone to established creators with big followings and clout, their rates would’ve been cost-prohibitive for our scrappy startup budget," he added.

This realization was the catalyst for the creation of Noise. The newly acquired $5.5 million in seed funding will be instrumental in advancing the platform’s product capabilities and expanding its team. Furthermore, Noise has recently launched its innovative "Organic-to-Ads" program. This new feature empowers brands to leverage the user-generated content created by Noise creators and repurpose it as paid advertisements across platforms like Meta and TikTok, complementing the creators’ original organic posts. "The creators still post to platforms," Kafie clarified. "But in addition, the brands can now put paid ads spend behind those creatives to reach more people."

When questioned about whether this model could potentially lead to creators earning less than they might through direct brand negotiations, Kafie firmly pushed back. He reiterated that brands set their own rates, and creators retain the autonomy to accept or decline offers. He emphasized that Noise’s core strength lies in its specialization in working with "everyday people and turning them into brand-new creators."

Kafie believes that as the path to becoming a successful influencer becomes increasingly challenging, Noise offers a viable alternative for individuals seeking to bypass the significant stress, time investment, and financial outlay typically required to achieve prominence in the content creation space independently. Upon joining the platform, new users undergo mandatory Noise creator training modules designed to equip them with the skills necessary to produce effective content for brands. Initially, these early creators have access to a select range of campaigns. However, as they complete more training and secure additional work, opportunities with higher compensation become available.

"By democratizing ‘becoming a creator’ to literally anyone with a smartphone," Kafie articulated, "we’re bringing costs down for brands, but enabling millions of people to make their first dollar on the internet." This dual benefit – cost savings for businesses and income generation for individuals – underscores Noise’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive and accessible creator economy. The platform’s growth trajectory and the substantial seed funding it has attracted suggest that its disruptive model is resonating strongly with both brands and aspiring content creators, promising a significant shift in the future of digital marketing. The integration of the Organic-to-Ads program further solidifies Noise’s position as a comprehensive solution for brands seeking to maximize their reach and impact through authentic, creator-driven content.
